Bonaire is the most eastern island of the Leeward Islands of the Antilles. The maximum length is 40 km and its width varies from 5 to 12 km. It is always summer and a day without sun is very rare. Because of its tropical steppe climate it hardly ever rains on Bonaire. The average day temperature is 28°C and the seawater usually is 26°C. Especially for divers Bonaire is an ideal holiday destination because of its magnificent coral reefs. The island is not crowded with tourists.
